Where Clay, Salesforce, HubSpot and Notion users talk

Apex Inc.

Apex Inc.

Clay users talk mainly in the free Clay Community Slack, which Clay lists at 35k members as of October 2026. Around it sit a community forum at community.clay.com, local Clay Clubs in 90+ cities, Clay University courses and a GTM engineer job board. You do not need a paid Clay plan to join.

This guide maps the official and user-run spaces for Clay, Salesforce, HubSpot and Notion, plus n8n, Zapier and Relevance AI. For the wider picture of peer groups, start with the guide to the best communities for GTM engineers, RevOps operators and B2B creators.

Key points

  • Clay's main hub is a free Slack workspace, backed by a forum, city chapters called Clay Clubs and Clay University.

  • Salesforce is moving the Trailblazer Community forums to Slack: the online forums become read-only on October 30, 2026.

  • HubSpot runs the HubSpot Community forums plus over 100 free HubSpot User Groups (HUGs), open to users on any plan.

  • Notion's community is largely run by volunteer ambassadors rather than Notion staff, with local groups and events around the world.

  • Tool communities answer product questions fast; general RevOps groups are better for career and strategy talk.

If you are still choosing which of these tools to learn first, the guide to the GTM engineer tool stack covers what each tool does in a modern revenue team.

Where does the Clay community live?

The Clay community lives in Slack first. Clay's community page invites visitors to "Join the Slack," lists 35k Slack community members and calls itself "the largest GTM ecosystem globally."

The Slack is one of several layers on that page:

  • Community forum. Threads at community.clay.com where members share workflows and ask questions.

  • Clay Clubs. Community-led local chapters in 90+ cities. Per the page's FAQ, hosts receive budget, playbooks, promotion and swag. You can find your city or launch a chapter.

  • Events. Clay counts 250+ community events per year, plus GTM livestreams with live walkthroughs of real workflows.

  • Jobs and experts. A GTM engineer job board and a "Find Clay experts" directory of practitioners.

The FAQ states that Slack, Clay Clubs, Clay University, some cohorts and livestreams are free, and that you do not need a paid Clay plan.

What Clay University offers

Clay University lists 16 courses as of October 2026, including Clay 101, Signals and ABM, Automated Outbound, CRM Enrichment and Clay MCP for Ops. Clay 101 is described as "A 1-week, instructor-led sprint."

Certifications are on hold. The page says: "We've paused new certification submissions while we build the next version of the program." Existing holders keep their status ("Already certified? Your cert stands"), and there is a waitlist.

Where do Salesforce users talk?

Salesforce users talk in the Trailblazer Community, which is in the middle of a move to Slack. Trailhead's Trailblazer Community basics module states: "The online Trailblazer Community becomes read-only Oct 30, 2026, as we move new community conversations to Slack."

Salesforce Ben's Christine Marshall covered the timeline in an October 19, 2026 article on the move. She reports that the Trailblazer Community in Slack launches in November 2026, that the forum archive "will remain accessible and searchable after October 30," and that accepted answers from Slack product channels are slated to sync back to the website from early 2027.

Groups and user groups

The groups model carries most of the value for operators. According to the Trailhead module:

  1. Online groups can be public (anyone can join), private (an owner approves you) or unlisted (invite only).

  2. Local user groups meet in person or virtually, "often monthly, and at least quarterly." Types include Admin, Developer, Marketer, Nonprofit and Women In Tech groups.

  3. Virtual groups cover industries such as Financial Services and Healthcare.

  4. Local events are listed at trailblazercommunitygroups.com.

The Trailblazer Community hub invites people to "Join millions" and cites a Valoir report in which "80% of Trailblazers report" the community helps them extend their Salesforce capabilities, increase efficiency and reduce costs. It also links Superbadges, certifications and Role-Based Career Paths.

Where do HubSpot users talk?

HubSpot users talk in the HubSpot Community, a forum where you "Sign in to join strategy and product focused conversations with your peers." The same site lists HubSpot-hosted live events and a Community Champions program in which members earn points and badges for sharing HubSpot knowledge.

Offline, the main channel is HubSpot User Groups. The HUGs page describes over 100 "free, community-led groups that host regular virtual and in-person events," and says you can "Join as many groups as you'd like."

What the HUG pages state:

  • Cost and eligibility. The HUG FAQ says HUGs are "free and open to any HubSpot user," and "As long as you have a HubSpot account at any level, from Free to Enterprise, you're welcome to join HUG events."

  • Formats. Location-based HUGs meet in person regularly; topic, industry, role and identity chapters meet virtually.

  • Extra channels. Some HUG leaders run LinkedIn and Slack groups alongside the official community.

  • Joining. Browse the HUG directory, or register for a HUG event, which per HubSpot's About HUGs page enrolls you in that chapter automatically.

The About HUGs page adds that groups run HubSpot Community threads on product questions, job openings and case studies.

Where do Notion users talk?

Notion's community is spread across local groups and events run by volunteer ambassadors rather than one official forum. In a Common Room interview, Notion community manager Francisco Cruz-Mendoza says: "We personally don't moderate or admin all the communities you see around Notion."

The same interview describes Notion's communities as run by "very, very engaged ambassadors" and says Notion supports local organizers with goodies and stickers to run events.

What Notion ambassadors get

Creator Jenna Redfield, who writes that she was accepted as a Notion Ambassador in 2022, describes the program in her Make with Notion 2025 recap. She lists an ambassador dinner and summit at Notion HQ with "tours, insider sneak peeks, and time to connect with the team," and "a front-row seat to some of the biggest product updates."

She credits her tutorials, a Facebook group of "over 5,000 members," one of her templates and her Notion Foundations course with building the momentum that got her accepted. That matches the general pattern: ambassador seats go to people who already teach the tool in public.

What about n8n, Zapier and Relevance AI?

Automation tools mostly run forums rather than Slack groups, with Relevance AI as the exception. I build on n8n and Relevance AI myself.

n8n

The n8n Community is a Discourse forum where users "connect with other users, learn from detailed discussions, and share your automation insights." Categories include Help me Build my Workflow, Built with n8n and English tutorials.

There is a Jobs category, but n8n's posted policy says "The category is for hiring posts only," and "For hire" or "open to work" posts are removed.

Zapier

The Zapier Community is a forum to "ask questions, learn from others, share your expertise, connect with Zapier users and staff." As of October 2026 it shows 38,276 topics, 139,998 replies and 68,290 members. It also links User Groups, a points leaderboard for answering unanswered posts and a Hire an Expert directory.

Relevance AI

The Relevance AI community is a web view of its Slack, described as "Where people building and running AI workforces on Relevance AI connect." Channels include Announcements, Introductions and Questions, and it links to Relevance Academy.

For a side-by-side on the tools themselves, see Relevance AI vs n8n vs Zapier.

How do you get value from a tool community in the first 30 days?

Join the communities for the two tools you use most, then post one specific, answerable question in the first week.

A simple 30-day checklist:

  • Day 1. Join the official home for your top two tools and fill in your profile with your role and stack.

  • Week 1. Search the archive before posting. The Trailblazer forums stay searchable after October 30, 2026.

  • Week 1. Post one question with the exact setup, what you tried and the error or output you got.

  • Week 2. Answer two questions you can solve. Zapier's leaderboard and HubSpot's Champions program both reward this.

  • Week 3. Register for one local or virtual group event: a Clay Club, a HUG or a Trailblazer user group.

Once you are in, the guide on how to network in a Slack community covers how to turn threads into relationships.

The questions that pile up in these channels are often the same ones every revenue team hits: leads routed to the wrong rep, a messy CRM, pipeline reports nobody trusts. I build these systems for my own work and do the same for SaaS revenue teams (lead routing, CRM cleanup, pipeline reporting) in a 90-day AI RevOps Sprint for Series A and B SaaS. Contact me to get yours scoped.

A tool community teaches you one box in the stack. A general community shows you how the boxes connect, which is where most of the value in GTM work sits.

Before and after: isolated tools versus a connected stack

Should you join a tool community or a general RevOps community?

Join both, for different jobs. Tool communities are best for "how do I make this work" questions, because the people answering use the same product, and often include the vendor's own staff.

General RevOps and GTM groups are better for strategy, hiring and career questions that cut across tools. The guide to the best Slack communities for RevOps and GTM covers those.

What are the common mistakes?

The most common mistake is joining every workspace at once and reading none of them.

  1. Joining too many spaces. Pick the tools you use weekly. Mute the rest.

  2. Vague questions. "Clay isn't working" gets ignored. Share the setup, the input and the output.

  3. Skipping the archive. Many questions already have accepted answers.

  4. Selling in help channels. Most of these communities separate jobs and promotion from help; n8n removes "open to work" posts from its Jobs category.

  5. Ignoring local groups. Clay Clubs, HUGs and Trailblazer user groups meet in person, which builds trust faster than any thread.
